Fulton County residents and students, who attend school in Fulton County, are invited to take part in the commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary this year by sharing their creative expression and artistic talents with visitors at the Fulton County Freedom Festival on Saturday, July 4th. The art show will be part of Artisan Fair held from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Hickinbotham-Miller Exhibit Building, 124 Arena Lane, at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Salem Arkansas.
Artists and aspiring artists are encouraged to create and submit original artwork representing America’s 250th anniversary. Artwork should reflect the American spirit – past, present and future – and how Fulton Countian’s have shaped the cultural life of our nation. Only one entry per artist.

Officials of the Fulton County Fair Marketing Committee and the Fulton County Arts Council state that Fulton County has a deep tradition of creativity rooted in community, place and pride.” “This contest is a wonderful opportunity for attendees of the Freedom Festival to learn about this heritage while attending the Art Show.
Entries will be accepted in three categories, depending on the artist’s age. The three age divisions are: youth (age 3- 12 years of age), Juniors Exhibitors (age 13 – 18 years of age) and adults (age 19 and over). If the artist desires to exhibit the artwork in the Creative Arts Department at the Fulton County Fair, July 11-18, entry forms will be available at the art show. Artwork must be original work (no coloring pages or paint-by-number). Any medium is accepted including digital media. A $25 cash prize will be awarded to the winning entry in each age category.
