Several events are approaching and there will be no shortage of things to do in Spring River country.

On Oct. 26, the Highland Schools will host their Trunk or Treat event for students through the sixth grade from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cherokee Village Elementary School. 

The Hardy Trail of Treats will take place in Downtown Hardy Oct. 29 from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. 

Once you’re finished with the Trail of Treats, head to the Hardy Fire Station for more. 

Main Street will be closed during the event, but parking will be available out back. Donations are also being collected to purchase candy and raffle prizes. They may be dropped at City Hall in Hardy. 

The Ash Flat Church of Christ will hold a trunk or treat Oct. 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. 

The Mammoth Spring (MS) Spooktacular will be held Oct. 29 through 30 beginning at 1:30 Oct. 29with a homecoming parade on Main Street. An alumni meet and greet will be held at the MS school at 3:30 p.m.followed by homecoming games at 5:30 p.m. at the MS school. 

On Oct. 30, festivities kick off at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at the MS school cafeteria until 10 a.m. 

Starting at 9 a.m., a dodge-ball tournament will take place at 9 a.m. at the MS school gym. 

The VFW Pig Roast/ Corn Hole Tournament kicks off at 11 a.m. at the VFW Post followed by the Spooktacular event from 4 to 9 p.m. on Main Street. Costume Contest takes place at 5:30 p.m.at Simmons Bank and the evening will come to a close at 7:30 p.m. with the showing of Halloweentown at the MS school. 

The Sharp County Fair Association will host a Fall Festival Celebration Oct. 29 and 30 with food, games, inflatables and prizes with different events taking place each weekend. 

On Oct. 30, a pumpkin carving contest and trunk or treat will take place. 

Entry is $2 per person, children ages 5 and under are free. The hours of the event will be Friday from 5 – 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m. 

Petting zoo, photo booth and more will also be available. Volunteers are needed for the event. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Andrea Vogt at 870-847-6577. 

KSAR and My Hometown Radio Stations will hold their 35th Annual Halloween Party Nov. 2. 

The Ash Flat Church of Christ will host a Trunk or Treat event Oct. 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church, costumes welcome.  

The Cherokee Village United Methodist Church located at 21 Otter Drive in Cherokee Village will host a Trunk or Treat Oct. 30 from 2:30 until 5:30 p.m. Bouncy houses, games, prizes, candy and more will be available. 

Highland Hills Baptist Church will hold a fall festival Oct. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m.  

The Cherokee Village Police Department will host a trick or treat event Oct. 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. 

There will be a spooktacular event at Kozey’s Country Market (formerly the Downhome building) in downtown Hardy on Oct. 31st at 6 pm. The event begins with trunk or treating, but then Kozey’s Country Market will be hosting hayrides for the kids. Children must accompanied by an adult. The hayride will only cost $1 per child, the one adult occupying the child will be free. Hardy Hot Dog and Blues Station will be hosting a bounce house also! Come have some family fun! 

Kozey’s Country Market (at the old Downhome building) is located at 241 US-63 N, Hardy, Ark. 

Easy K Ranch will hold a Craft Fair Nov. 6.
