Batesville, AR — The Ozark Gateway Region celebrated its 2025 Annual Banquet with a night of recognition, reflection, and renewed energy for promoting tourism across north central Arkansas. Held April 29, the banquet welcomed regional leaders, tourism partners, and community members in a celebration of the region’s growth and success.

Dalaney Thomas, Tourism Director for Arkansas Tourism, delivered the evening’s keynote address, highlighting the vital impact of tourism on the region’s economy and identity. She emphasized the importance of continued promotion and collaboration to drive visitation and growth throughout the Ozarks.

The banquet also showcased the region’s culinary charm with a delicious meal provided by Bailey’s Family Restaurant, featuring their famous Caveman Burger and crispy chicken strips. In honor of the recent Pie Festival in Cherokee Village, Carol’s Lakeview Restaurant treated guests to a variety of homemade pies. Rounding out the spread were Mountain Man Biscuits and mouthwatering jalapeño Cave City watermelon jelly from Drifters Coffee — a true taste of local hospitality.

Adding a special touch of nostalgia and regional flair, Natalie Pineda, Lisa Culver and Caroly Carter played orginal folk songs and ballads written by Sharp County native, Carter – providing live music throughout the evening. Their performance featured tunes once played at the beloved Sharp County attraction the Arkansas Traveller Dinner Theater, formerly located in Hardy, which brought talented musicians from all over Sharp County to celebrate the area’s rich cultural heritage.
