Salem, Arkansas — Aug. 6, 2026 — A North Arkansas Electric Cooperative right-of-way employee was injured while working in Ozark Acres this morning. He was taken by helicopter to a Little Rock hospital.
“We are thankful for the quick response of our right-of-way crew and local emergency personnel,” CEO Mel Coleman said. “Please join us in praying for him and his loved ones.”
NAEC will not release the employee’s name at this time out of respect for his privacy.
“Our employees’ safety is always our top priority,” Coleman said. “We continually strive to better our existing safety protocols and will review today’s event thoroughly.”
