MOUNTAIN VIEW, Ark. — Enjoy a summer evening of traditional and contemporary crafts, vibrant gardens and Ozark culture during Handcrafted Evening in the Park on Friday, July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View. The special event offers free admission to the Craft Village and Heritage Herb Garden.

The Heritage Herb Garden will be open for leisurely exploration, with opportunities to discover heirlooms, culinary and medicinal plants and learn how these traditions continue today. Plants propagated by the park’s garden team will be available for purchase.
The Homespun Gift Shop, which features items from more than 70 Arkansas artisans, will be open for the event. Visitors may park in the large parking lot and take the free shuttle to the gift shop to enter the village. The Skillet restaurant will be open until 9 p.m., serving its signature Southern and classic American comfort food, as well as Arkansas‑brewed beer and wine.
The evening highlights the Ozark Folk Center’s mission to preserve and share the crafts, herbs and lore of the Ozark Highlands. Guests can experience working crafts, thriving gardens and traditional knowledge as living skills that continue to enrich daily life.
