A Sharp County man and woman are facing multiple charges following a traffic stop Feb. 25.

According to an affidavit filed in Sharp County Circuit Court, Officer Casey Poulette observed an adult male, Christopher Davis who was known to law enforcement to have a suspended driver’s license and active warrants operating a motor vehicle on US 167 in Evening Shade.

Poulette conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Davis was driving at which time Davis threw a plastic bag out of the window while turning on to Simstown Road. While coming to a stop, Davis then threw a dark colored object out of the driver’s side window.

A passenger identified as Christina Orosz was found to be in possession of methamphetamine when a search of her purse was conducted. A glass pipe was also located.

Poulette retrieved the dark object thrown from the vehicle which was found to be a set of digital scales. The baggie was also recovered and contained approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine.

While searching the vehicle, a used syringe was found in the driver’s door.

Both Davis and Orosz were taken into custody and transported to the Sharp County Jail.

Orosz was charged with possession with purpose to deliver methamphetamine, a class A felony; possession of manufacture meth, a class B felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony.

Davis was charged with possession with purpose to deliver meth, cocaine or heroin, a class A felony; possession of drug paraphernalia manufacture meth or cocaine, a class B felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony and tampering with physical evidence, a class D felony.
