Since the first dispensary opened in May 2019, patients in Arkansas have spent $398 million to obtain 59,047 pounds of medical marijuana.
We anticipate the state will surpass the $400 million mark over the holiday weekend.
There are currently 36 dispensaries in operation across the state. The Releaf Center (Bentonville) is the first dispensary in Arkansas to reach 6,000 pounds in sales (6,256 pounds sold).
A total of 17 dispensaries have sold at least 1,000 pounds.
In addition to the overall weight sold by each dispensary, medical marijuana reporting going forward will also include weight sold the previous month (by individual dispensary).
The Arkansas Department of Health reports 79,420 active patient cards.
