The Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of another scam targeting citizens of Izard County. Citizens are receiving calls from a local phone number. The caller states they are from the IRS and there is a problem with their taxes. They provide their name and a federal identification number. The caller ask for personal information from the person they have called.
Please be aware and do not give your personal information away over the phone.
