According to Sheriff Charley Melton, the following individuals were incarcerated last week.

Susan Hellums, 45 of Franklin, and Jonathan Gitzen, 29 of Mammoth Spring, were transported from other agencies for court appearances.

Edward Eastwood, 47 of Oxford, was arrested on October 16th for theft of property, breaking or entering, fleeing in a vehicle, fleeing on foot, aggravated assault, and possession of a controlled substance.

Terri Stoner, 65 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested on October 18th for vehicle equipment violations, open container of alcohol, and DWI.

Leann George, 36 of Oxford, was arrested on October 18th for possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lewis Hill, 43 of Oxford, was arrested on October 18th for possession of firearm by certain persons.

Brandon Hill, 43 of Viola, was arrested on October 18th for violating his conditions of bond.

Alexis Webb, 26 of Oxford, was arrested on October 19th for public

intoxication.

Charles Crider, 63 of Oxford, was arrested on October 20th for fleeing, driving with a suspended driver’s license for DWI, open container of alcohol, and DWI.

PROBATION COMPLIANCE CHECK LEADS TO ARREST

On October 18, 2023, Probation Officers Hunter Boles and Cody Bruyette conducted a compliance check at the Lewis Hill residence on Ferro Road in Oxford. Hill is under active supervision due to being previously convicted of a felony charge. Also at the residence, during the compliance check, was Leann George.

During the compliance check, officers located a muzzle loader rifle in a shed on the property. Methamphetamine was in a safe inside the residence as well as drug paraphernalia about the residence. During the search, Leann George claimed the items that were located in the safe were hers. Izard County investigators Geoffrey Watts and Tyler Webb were called to the scene to process and secure the evidence.

As a result, Lewis Hill, 43 of Oxford, was charged with possession of firearm by certain persons, a class “D” felony.

Leann George, 36 of Oxford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class “D” felony; as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, a class “A” misdemeanor.
