The Spring River Shrine Club in collaboration with Artisan Grill in Ash Flat Arkansas posted 13 Flags in memorial to the 13 Soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan during the recent evacuation efforts.

On Sept. 5, Navy Veteran and Scimitar Shriner, Austin Underwood posted each flag of the flags with care.

One flag was placed for each service member who was killed Aug. 26, 13 America service members were among the more than 100 individuals killed by a suicide bomber in Kabul Afghanistan.

Shriner Doug Driesel stating he hopes others will pay tribute and that the memorial would also help Americans remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001 as the 20th anniversary approaches.

The Artisan is not the only restaurant in Sharp County to pay tribute to the fallen heroes. Tables with place settings have been seen at the Pillbox Cafe and others.
