Izard County Chief Deputy Charlie Melton said the following people have been arrested during the past week.
Matthew Logan Wiley, 36, of Mountain Home was arrested April 20 for misdemeanor public intoxication, furnishing prohibited articles and possession of a controlled substance, both class B felonies. Melton said that jail staff suspected Wiley was concealing contraband on his person and when officers entered the room, Wiley removed his undergarments and threw them away from the officers. While officers were attempting to retrieve the undergarments, a clear plastic baggie containing a white crystalline substance fell onto the cell floor containing a white crystalline substance that weighed more than 10 grams but less than 200 grams and field tested positive for the presence of Methamphetamine. Wiley is listed as a habitual offender. Bond was set at $40,000.
Matthew Thomas Martin, 29, of Batesville was arrested April 20 and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, which are both felonies. He is also charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
Baxter Stanley, 59, of Horseshoe Bend was arrested April 20 and charged with disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $220.
Miguel Arthur Gomez, 28, of Batesville was arrested April 20 on a failure to appear warrant.
Adam Dale Stacy, 26, of Calico Rock was arrested April 20 and charged with failure to appear and probation violation.
Phillip Russell, 75, of Horseshoe Bend was arrested April 22 and charged with sexual assault in the second degree.
Seth Webb, 41, of Mount Pleasant was arrested April 22 and charged with domestic battery third degree.
Joseph Ryan Davidson, 39, of Melbourne was arrested April 22 and charged with felony aggravated assault on a family member. Bond was set at $10,000.
Steven Ashworth, 25, of Melbourne was arrested April 22 and placed on a no contact bond from a Melbourne business.
David Marion Carpenter, 59, of Batesville was arrested April 22 and charged with violation of omnibus DWI Act, careless and prohibited driving and driving left of center. Bond was set at $1,160.
Crystal Allen, 34, of Pineville was arrested on April 23 for two counts endangered or impaired person, one is a class C felony and one class D felony. Bond was set at $15,000.
Alecxander Sexton, 28, of Calico Rock was arrested April 23 and charged with possession of a schedule VI-controlled substance. Bond was set at $1,250.
Penny Tucker, 61, of Pineville was arrested April 23 and charged with two counts of endangered or impaired person. One is a class C felony and one class D felony. Bond was set at $15,000.
David Bryant, 37, of Oxford was arrested April 23 and charged with felony assault on a family member and endangering the welfare of a minor, a misdemeanor.
Carl Luebken, 35, of Pineville was arrested April 23 and charged with endangered or impaired person, a class C felony and endangered or impaired person, a class D felony. Bond was set at $15,000.
Logan James Dobbs, 19, of Mammoth Spring was arrested on April 24 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and purchase of intoxicants. Bond was set at $1,440. He has been placed on hold for another agency.
Shelbie Marie Holowell, 21, of Horseshoe Bend was arrested April 24 and charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $1,250.
Liston Clay Reed, 18, of Floral was arrested April 25 and is on a parole hold.
Chief Deputy Charlie Melton reminds individuals that shoplifting and threatening behavior will not be tolerated.”Three people were found guilty in District Court of shoplifting and banned from that business. Another individual is to have no contact with a different business after making threats while on the premises. In addition to law enforcement, we have a deputy prosecutor who believes strongly in enforcing the law. We value our business leaders in Izard County and this type of behavior will not be tolerated.”
