Sharp County resident Pam Fair graduated from the Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Dec. 4. Although she was unable to attend graduation in person, Fair was recognized by the university for maintaining a 3.91 GPA.
In 2015, Fair began the journey to higher education as she worked to complete her General Education Degree (GED). On Dec. 4, she was recognized by the university as she graduated with a 3.91-grade point average with a degree in Human Services with Bible and Church Ministries.
“I’ve always wanted to go to college but never had the opportunity before then. I began attending college locally at Ozarka in 2016 working toward a business degree. I was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa during my time at Ozarka,” Fair said. When asked what prompted her to pursue further education, Fair said she wanted to better serve her community and use her knowledge to lift others.
“An opportunity opened up for me to enter Southwestern as a student of Bible and Ministry while earning a degree in Human Services. Although I love business my heart is turned more to the business of helping people,” Fair said. “I plan on continuing my education at Evangel University beginning in the Spring of 2021.”
