Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a collection of wonderful books that her organization works with sponsors to place into the hands of children. She believes that children get great ideas from books and may be inspired to dream big dreams and do great things.

Dolly Parton wrote, “Before he passed away, my Daddy told me the Imagination Library was probably the most important thing I had ever done. I can’t tell you how much that meant to me because I created the Imagination Library as a tribute to my Daddy. He was the smartest man I have ever known but I know in my heart his inability to read probably kept him from fulfilling all of his dreams.” It’s a mission for her.

Dolly Parton read 10 wonderful children’s books as part of the ‘Good Night with Dolly’ program that she developed as part of her Imagination Library to help kids learn to appreciate books and dream big. The Imagination Library – “In this series, Dolly reads select Imagination Library books, all carefully chosen for their appropriate content at this moment in time.” Here we’ve gathered the links to the 10 stories Dolly chose for this project and made available on YouTube.
