½ cup butter

½ cup Karo syrup

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

Stir ingredients together in a 2-quart saucepan.  Brin to a boil slowly and over low heat.  Stir continuously to prevent scorching.  This will burn quickly if left unattended.

Pour into a container suitable for storage (glass) and allow to cool.  Serve with fruits you would like to try with caramel. It is delicious with apples.
