The Strawberry River chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) would like to remind you that Friday, Sept. 17, is Constitution Day and that they are encouraging people to learn more about the Constitution. This is marks the begininng of Constitution Week.

The Constitution Center a private, nonprofit organization on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, wrote that “On September 17, 1787, the Founding Fathers signed the most influential document in American history, the U.S. Constitution. Every year, the National Constitution Center hosts the best Constitution Day celebration in the country. We are the place to turn to help you commemorate this historic day…at the Center and online!

Constitution Day, the Friday of this week and the beginning of Constitution Week, is a Federal observance day recognizing the adoption of the U.S. Constitution. For more information on the The Strawberry River chapter of the DAR, click here .

The Strawberry River chapter of the DAR reminds you to educate young people and remind older people about the history of and contents of the U.S. Constitution. In these tumultuous times, it may be more important than ever to understand what it contains.
