Dog lovers are invited and encouraged to bring your furry friend to the Old Hardy Gym Dec. 2 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. for a Christmas photos to benefit the Cherokee Village Animal Control.

The cost is a donation to the Cherokee Animal Control Shelter.

Event Organizer Dee Martin said there will be something for everyone, including an opporutnity to visit with Santa.

“Santa will be there, there will be pictures and you can bring your cell phone and take your own pictures, but we will have a professional photographer there . We’ll be at the gym from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Santa will be there from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m,” Martin said.

Martin said for those who would like a variety of photo options, that will also be available as the group has set up several backdrops with Christmas themes.

“We’ll have some other things going on. There will be a table of knitted hats and we will have some for sale and every bit of the money goes to the Cherkee Village Animal Control,” Dee said.

There will be treats for the pups and kids, animals eligible for adoption on site, Micro-chipping will also be available for a $10 fee and an angel tree for the shelter will be set up.

Following the photo shooot, a dog walk will take place form the gym to Lobeerg Park for the lighting cermony. The comminity is invited and encouraged to attend.
