While firefighters were working to extinguish a blaze, a Fulton County man was working on catching felony charges.
According to an affidavit for warrant of arrest for 65-year-old Russell Schuh filed April 22, on April 14, deputies with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a residence on Little Gut Creek regarding an aggravated assault.
When officers arrived on scene, they spoke with the victim who said after he had notified Schuh that his shed was on fire, Schuh came to the victim’s home and pointed a firearm at him saying he was going to “blow his head off”.
Schuh left the residence and then returned to his own after making the threat.
While watching the Hardy Fire Department put out the fire, Schuh made several statements in the presence of Hardy Fire Chief Josh Moore that he intended to shoot the victim because he believed the victim had started the fire.
As a result, Schuh has been charged with aggravated assault, a class D felony and terroristic threatening in the first degree, a class D felony.
Bond for Schuh was set at $10,000.
