An all call has been placed for the upcoming Art and Artisan Show slated from Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. in Ellington, MO.

According to Alyssa Smith, organizer of the event, the small community of Ellington is looking to grow their arts district and would like to invite area communities to help in the endeavor.

“Vendors will feature a mix of artists and artisans who highlight both traditional and modern-day techniques in a manner of mediums,” Smith said. “We will have all kinds of exhibits including pottery, glass, textiles, folk art, photography, jewelry, furniture and more.”

Smith also said many artists and artisans will be performing live demonstrations of their crafts.

“This is the first year for this event. Since it is our first year, we are not charging vendors to set up. Each spot will be a 10 by 10 space and they can bring whatever is needed to set up their space,” Smith said.

The event is sponsored by Opy’s in Ellington, MO.
