Two Sharp County residents face multiple felony charges after a large quantity of drugs was located in their possession.

According to the affidavit filed March 17, in late February, Sharp County Deputy Marc Boyd respond to a report of a suspicious person at a home in Evening Shade.

The caller stated a man named Jason Donna had been to the residence, however; the caller was aware the resident was in an extended stay at a rehabilitation facility.

After being given a rough description of the vehicle, Boyd spotted the vehicle at the intersection of Sidney Road and Hwy 58 and attemted to make a traffic stop.

The vehicle, driven by Donna refused to stop and led Boyd on a non-compliant trip to his residence where he then parked and exited the vehicle.

When asked why he did not stop, Donna stated he knew his passenger, Kelly Shepard had warrants and was trying to keep her from being arrested.

Deputy Kelly Newcom arrived on scene and both Donna and Shepard were found to have warrants. Additonally, The vehicle Donna was driving had fictitious tags, had not been registered since 2007 and Donna had suspended driver’s licenses in Florida and Arkansas.

A bag was found outside the vehicle near Donna on the ground and contained approximately 16.91 grams of a white crystal substance, small bag of suspected marijuana, scale, small zip lock bags, syringe, lighter, rolling papers, broken cell phone and a container of marijuana butter from a dispensary. 

Both subjects refused to take credit for having the contraband in their vehicle.

As a result, Shepard has been charged with possession with purpose to deliver meth or cocaine, a class A felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, a class A misdemeanor.. Her bond was set at $50,000

Donna has been charged with possession with purpose to deliver meth or cocaine, a class A felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, a class A misdemeanor; feeling by vheicle, a class A misdemeanor; driving on suspended or revoked driver’s license, a class A misdemenaor, fictitious tags and driving with no insurance, a class B misdemeanor. Bond for Donna was set at $10,000.
