Following a traffic stop in Fulton County, a deputy confiscated several pills initially believed to be ecstasy but were later discovered to be methamphetamine.

According to the affidavit, on Aug. 27 Fulton County Deputy Jason Jordan observed a vehicle continuously driving in the left lane on Hwy 63 while not actively passing.

A traffic stop was initiated, and Jordan met with the driver, 26-year-old Megan Adams. As he was speaking with Adams, Jordan detected what he knew to be the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Adams stated she had marijuana in the vehicle and handed the deputy a joint and was asked if there was anything else in the vehicle, he needed to be aware of.

Jordan conducted a search of the vehicle and located nine various colored pills with a logo stamped on the back of them.

A set of digital scales were used to weight the substance which weighted less than two grams. A field test was conducted on the pills using a testing device by the 16th Judaical Drug Task force and the pills tested positive to show methamphetamine.

Adams was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled schedule I or II substance, meth or cocaine, a class D felony. Bond for Adams was set at $5,000.
