A traffic stop led to a multitude of charges and the arrest of 29-year-old Shelby Chevallier Dec. 4 according to an affidavit for warrant of arrest filed in Fulton County.

On Dec. 4, Arkansas State Police Trooper Jason Long observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and crossing the center line.

Long conducted a traffic stop and while speaking to Chevallier witnessed a needle lying on top of the woman’s purse. Chevallier told Long she did not have her driver’s license on her.

In speaking, Long asked if Chevallier was a diabetic in reference to the needle. She told the officer she was but refused to provide proof.

While searching for information, Chevallier then grabbed the needle and slid it into her coat sleeve.

A search of the vehicle yielded two bags of what later tested positive as methamphetamine, paraphernalia with residue, miscellaneous pills, and more.
