TNT Gymnastics took 6 kids to compete in the USAG Xcel Championships this weekend in the Wisconsin Dells.  This was a nationwide invitational where the girls had to qualify to be invited to this competition.

Bella Cox, 6 of Glencoe; Danielle Vanoven, 7, of Salem; Harper McCord, 8, of Cherokee Village; Jordyn Cain, 6 of Mammoth Spring; Maelyn Reiter, 6, of Cherokee Village; and Rhea Oxford, 10, of Cherokee Village competed.

All of the girls had a great meet, with many achieving personal best scores on their routines. Overall, the gymnasts brought back 5 national titles.

Bella Cox, 7 of Glencoe placed 1st on the vault for her age group and 2nd All Around with a 37.15.

Jordyn Cain, 6, of Mammoth Spring Placed 1st on the vault, beam and floor exercise, also taking home the prestigious title of 1st All Around Champion in her age group with a score of 37.55.

Another noteworthy accomplishment is Maelyn Reiter who currently holds a place on America’s top 100 gymnasts with an impressive vault score of 9.8.

In a year of trials for TNT Gymnastics, starting with their facility in Salem burning down in January of 2020, and then being closed due to COVID for 3 months, this little gym and its gymnasts have persevered and come back stronger than ever.

The athletes train hard and have overcome training in the park on small mats, no equipment in the gym, no air conditioning in the summer, and no heat in the winter and proved that great things come from the small towns in Arkansas.  We are extremely proud of them and wish them continued success as they begin training for next season.
