The community of Ozark Acres, governed by the Suburban Improvement District (SID) saw an unexpected change Dec. 7 when three commissioners resigned.
Following a heated public comments session, commissioners Tom Parsons, Charlie Underwood and Jim Lowe resigned from the commission.
The Ozark Acres SID commission consists of five seats with commissioners Eric Baggett and Marcia Johnson remaining.
As there was no quorum left to conduct the meeting, it was drawn to a close and remaining commissioners will seek advice from the SID attorney John Abele as to next steps.
Parsons served as the lake’s commissioner, Underwood as the beach commissioner and Lowe as the clubhouse commissioner.
