A Sharp County man was arrested and booked into the Sharp County Jail May 3 on charges of rape, a class Y felony and endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree, a class A misdemeanour.
The charges stem after an incident which occurred In late April when Nathan Mullins, 35 of Highland provided alcohol to a juvenile male and later touched the child and performed sexual acts.
During a post Miranda interview with Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Director Allison Dixson, Highland Police Sgt. Steve Dravenstott and Officer Jeff Hamilton, Mullins claimed he did not initiate the initial touching, however; he did engage sexual acts with the child.
