The Sharp County Library Board of Trustees is officially accepting applications for the position of Library Director. This key leadership role offers a unique opportunity for a civic-minded professional to shape the future of information access and community programming for the residents of Sharp County.
The Board is seeking candidates with significant administrative experience and a proven track record in personnel management. While a Master of Library Science (MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution is preferred, the Board will consider candidates with equivalent professional management experience and a passion for public service.
The Director will serve at liaison between each library and coordinate with the Sharp County Library Board of Directors and county officials. As the chief administrative officer, he or she will consistently engage in strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and community advocacy.
