Sharp County, AR — The CALL in Sharp and Independence Counties is honored to announce that Mark Counts, Sharp County Judge, has officially proclaimed the month of May as a Month of Prayer for Foster Care Awareness in Sharp County.

This proclamation invites churches, families, and individuals across the county to unite in prayer for children and families impacted by foster care. It serves as a meaningful reminder of the ongoing need for community support, compassion, and involvement in the lives of vulnerable children.

Throughout May, The CALL encourages residents to intentionally lift up children in foster care, as well as the biological families, foster families, and caseworkers who walk alongside them each day.

“We are incredibly grateful to Judge Counts for recognizing the importance of prayer in the lives of children and families involved in foster care,” said Ashley Beller, Affiliate Director of The CALL in Sharp and Independence Counties. “We invite our community to join us in praying for our local children in foster care—that they may experience safety, healing, stability, and hope—and for the families and individuals who provide them care and support, that they may be encouraged, uplifted, and strengthened in their mission.”

The CALL, a nonprofit organization dedicated to recruiting, training, and supporting foster and adoptive families, works closely with the Arkansas Department of Children and Family Services to ensure that children in foster care have loving, local homes.

As Foster Care Awareness Month is observed nationwide in May, this local emphasis on prayer highlights the power of community unity and faith in addressing the needs of children and families right here in Sharp County.
