Marybeth Byrd, who was named Young Artist of Year last year, will present that category at the Arkansas Country Music Awards on Monday, June 7, 2021, at the Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway.

Byrd was a top 10 finalist during Season 17 of NBC’s The Voice. On being a part of this year’s awards show, she said, “I’m so honored to be presenting the Young Artist of the Year award to this year’s recipient! I pray that they let this incredible title inspire them to keep reaching their goals and strive towards success! I’m so excited.”

According to the Arkansas Country Music Awards rules, the criteria for the Young Artist of the Year reads as follows:

  • This award is for any male, female, duo or group that performs on a regular basis.
  • The nominee cannot turn the age of twenty (20) until after January 1st (or later) of the awards year.
  • Selectors are to honor whom they deem as ‘most promising.’
  • A recipient of this award is no longer eligible in this category.)

The 2021 Young Artist of the Year finalists are Lance Curtis, Lillyanne McCool, The Render Sisters, Savannah Free and TRIPPP. This is the fourth time for Curtis to be a finalist in this category and the third time for TRIPPP. The other three finalists are first time nominees.

Prior to Byrd being the recipient in 2020, previous Young Artist of the Year recipients were Cam Shelton in 2018 and Bree Ogden in 2019.

The awards will be an all-star evening of talent. Main stage performers will be Billy Dean, Shawn Camp, Amy Helm, Heath Sanders, Charlie Rich Jr., Debby Campbell, Erin Enderlin, David Adam Byrnes, Lance Carpenter, Jabe Burgess, Bonnie Montgomery, Maybe April, Grace Stormont, Mae Estes, Nik & Sam, Mark Currey, Spillwater Drive, the Villines Trio, TRIPPP and the Render Sisters. The 2021 Arkansas Country Music Awards will be co-hosted by Charles Haymes and Ashton Gill.
