Unofficial final results are in for Fulton County with a total of 1,662 ballots cast. In the race for president, on the Republican ticket, Donald Trump received the majority vote with 1,236 votes followed by Nikki Haley with 159. On the Democratic ticket, Joseph Biden received the majority with 123 votes followed by Dean Phillips with 7. Both Trump and Biden received the majority vote in the State of Arkansas for their respective parties for the primary.

In the race for J.P. District 3, Al Roork received the majority vote with 105 to John Jarman’s 61; for District 7 J.P., Gary Tanner received 131 votes over Ray Matthew’s 46; for J.P. District 8, Jimmy Marler received 128 over Jackie Privett’s 75 and in the J.P. District 9 race, it was a close race decided by just one vote’s difference with Hank Burke receiving 56 votes to Carrie Andrews 55.

For the State Supreme Court Chief Justice Position 1, Karen Baker received the most votes with 370 followed by Rhonda Wood at 348, Jay Martin with 339 and Barbara Webb with 249. For State Supreme Court Associate Justice Position 2, Courtney Hudson took the majority vote with 792 to Carlton Jones 471.

In the Viola School Board Race, Mike Richardson received the majority of votes with 347 to Jason Perryman’s 144.

In Sharp County 2,397 ballots were cast.

In the race for president, on the Republican ticket, Donald Trump received 1,862 votes followed by Nikki Haley with 221. On the Democratic ticket, President Joe Biden took the majority vote with 171 followed by Armando Perez-Serrato with 10. Both Trump and Biden took the presidential nomination for the State of Arkansas as well.

In the race for J.P. District 9, Zach Baxter received the majority vote with 231 followed by Anna Stewart’s 57.

In the race for State Supreme Court Chief Justice Position 1 in Sharp County, Karen Baker received the majority vote with 811 followed by Rhonda Wood with 536, Barbara Webb with 472 and Jay Martin with 341. For State Supreme Court Associate Justice Position 2, Courtney Hudson took the majority with 1,454 to Carlton Jones 628.

 

Unofficial final results from Izard County showed 2,055 ballots cast, in the race for president, Donald Trump took the majority with 83.40 percent of the votes followed by Nikki Haley with 11.98%. On the Democratic ticket, Joe Biden received 87.42 percent of the votes followed by Marianne Williamson with 4.64%.

In the race for State Rep. District 27, Rep. Steven Walker received 72.02% over Timmy Reid’s 27%.

Several positions for Justice of the Peace were contested in Izard County. For J.P. District 1, Mark Simino received 50.97% of the vote and Justin Sanders received 49.03%; for J.P. District 3, Randy “Hank” Sherrell received 66.32% of the votes over Samuel Guiltner’s 33.68%; For J.P District 6, Justin Thornton received 59.90% over Seth Engelhardt who revieved 40.10%; For J.P. District 7, it looks like there will be a runoff as no candidate secured 51 percent of the vote. Quillen Edwards had the lead with 47.54%, followed by Michael Cone with 30.33 % and Gary Michael Morrison Jr with 22.13%; for J.P. District 8, Doug Harber took the lead with 73.75% of the vote over Adam Cooper with 26.25%; for J.P. District 9, Richard Emmens took 68.89% of the votes over Abranda Stephens with 31.11%.

In the constables race, Brett Stevenson took 74.60 % of the votes over Eric Branter’s 25.40.

In the State Supreme Court Chief Justice Position 1, Rhonda Wood took 28% followed by Barbara Webb at 27%, Karen Baker at 24& and Jay Martin at 20%. For State Supreme Court Associate Justice Position 2, Courtney Hudson received 70.90% of votes over Carlton Jones with 29.10%.

Lawrence Countians cast a total of 1,733 ballots, in the race for president for the Republican party, Donald Trump received 1,253 votes followed by Nikki Haley with 174 votes. For the Democratic race, Joe Biden had 149 votes followed by Marianne Williamson with 9.

In the race for State Representative District 30, Representative Fran Cavenaugh received 428 votes to Coty Powers 205. Once all unofficial results were returned, Cavenaugh had received a collective 68% to Coty Powers 32%. Cavenaugh will contend with Democrat, Hamilton Holmes in the fall.

For J.P. District 1, Padro Roberts received 85 votes over Matthew Baldridge’s 69; for J.P District 6, Jeff Yates beat Jeff Williams 106 to 56; J.P. District 9, Troy Owens received 104 votes over Andrea Barnhill’s 72.

In Constable Races, for the Boas Township, it was a close race, Mark Vanbrook pulled ahead with 77 votes over Steven Robertson’s 74; for the Duty Township, Shawn King came out ahead with 34 votes over Cord Bogs with 16; for the Reeds Creek Township, Hunter Durham beat Jason Bristow with 64 votes to Bristow’s 27.

In the State Supreme Court Chief Justice Position 1, Rhonda Wood had the lead with 610, followed by Karen Baker with 462, Barbara Webb with 291 and Jay Martin with 175 votes.

For State Supreme Court Associate Justice, Courtney Hudson took a 2/3 majority vote with 1,97 over Carlton Jones with 428 votes.
