For those looking for something fun to do this weekend there are certainly no shortage of events, but if you’re tired of pounding the pavement and are looking for something different Jackson Farms in Black Rock just might be the place for you.

Jackson Farms is wrapping up their season with a bang as they host a Hometown Heroes event Oct. 30 and their final day of the season Oct 31.

General admission is $15 for ages three and up; seniors 65 and older $10 and military members who show a valid ID get in free.

“This is our final weekend of the season and Saturday is Hometown Heroes. It is for police, fire, first responders, medical personnel and military,” Bill Jackson owner of Jackson Farms said. “Any one in those fields who shows us some form of confirmation will get in free and military personnel who show id get in free during the season.”

The farm is a wonderland for those who love all things fall. From corn mazes to pumpkin cannons and even kettle corn and funnel cakes, you’ll find it at Jackson Farms.

“We’re going to have a band playing tomorrow, police, fire and others handing out candy to the kids and have fireworks,” Jackson said.

Oh and in addition to candy being handed out, Jackson said there will be quite a unique method used just for the kids.

“We’re going to have a helicopter drop candy tomorrow for the kids to pick up,” Jackson said. “We’re going to have a lot of people and it’s a good opportunity for the kids to come out and meet the hometown heroes.”

The Farm is open to the public at 10 a.m. and the Hometown Heroes celebration will kick off at approximately 2 p.m.

“This is our way of saying thank you to all these people who have worked so hard in the last year and it will be fun for the kids too,” Jackson said.

Jackson Farm is located at 2798 AR 117 Black Rock Arkansas, 72415.
