This year, Hardy Homesteader Day will have events both in Loberg park and along main street in downtown Hardy, Ark., on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. As always this is a free event.
The event’s General Store will be located at the Spring River Stonehouse Inn, 108 W. Main Street. The General Store will be an area of information and connections for the event. Musical bands will be at Dr. Thompson Park and Zen + Zeus on Main Street as well as Loberg Park, on Loberg Drive.
Loberg Park will be the site of demonstrators showing skills from the past, games, hands- on activities, and free eats! C’mon down.
Homesteading – some demonstrators that plan to be in Hardy this Saturday – 9/24/2022 – crosscut saw, quilting, lye soap making, just to name a few . . .
Take a moment to create a memory photo of your group at our General Store’s covered wagon photo prop area.
Enter for door prizes by adding your information to the attendance basket for a 10” x 15” engraved cutting board. Five will be given away. Drawings will take place at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Purchase your tickets for a chance to WIN in one of the drawings! Choose from chances on a 70 x 80” Homemade Quilt ($1.00 each or $5.00 for 6 tickets), a Henry Golden Boy .22 Rifle ($5.00 each or $20 for 5 tickets), 1 night’s stay at the Spring River Stonehouse Inn ($5.00 each or $20 for 5 tickets)! Drawings will begin at 2:30 p.m. Need not be present to win.
1883 Dress Contest – Enter here to get a number so that you can be voted on, or pick up your voting slip to vote for your top three favorites! Categories are Men, Women, and children under 12. Judging is on apparel. Prizes in each category are 1st-$50, 2nd-$30, 3rd -Souvenir package.
Souvenirs: Available for purchase at the General Store are souvenirs of your day in Hardy. We will have tote bags, 4-coaster sets, bracelets, necklaces, tin cups, key chains, magnets, homemade butter, taffy, and Hardy Walking Tour booklets.
