Elizabeth Daigle, Izard County Extension Agent ~ Family and Consumer Science and Kelley Russell ~ Izard County Extension Council President are pleased to announce that the Izard County Extension Homemakers is seeking new members and clubs in the Calico Rock area.   Becoming an Extension Homemaker is a rewarding experience for everyone!

Our mission is to empower individuals and families through informal education in Family and Consumer Sciences, leadership development, and community service. EHC has a statewide membership of 3,700 people with over 300 clubs. With such a widespread membership, a variety of clubs, and an array of projects, there are many opportunities to get involved with EHC.

If you want to make new friends, learn new skills, and give back to your community? Arkansas Extension Homemakers Council is the group for you.  Each club is unique and offers a variety of programs, craft opportunities and community involvement.  Being a member of a club gives you a bond with likeminded friends.

A group of current Extension Homemaker Members will be conducting an informational meet and greet on April 15, 2023.  The meeting will be held at the Nook.  The Nook is in the lower level of the Calico Rock Museum, enter from Peppersauce Alley.  The event will start at 10:00 am and conclude before 12:00. Light refreshments will be served.

If you need more information on this outreach meeting, please contact Elizabeth Daigle at the County Extension Office at (870) 368-4323 or through e-mail at [email protected]
