Love and words of encouragement, affirmation, kindness, and forgiveness are so important to a happy spirit filled life. We can go through life with our head down or up. We can smile and laugh or frown and sigh. We can lift people up or tear them down.

If you want people to see your Jesus in your words and actions, you know which person you need to be. You know who Jesus wants you to be. “ Don’t worry, Gods got this.” Those five words of encouragement can carry a person for a long time. “ Let’s pause right now and pray over this and give it to God to take care of.” Yes, doing that will lift a person out of the mire of life. Always carry a stack of sticky notes with you. It will remind you to leave someone a note of encouragement.

God is love and he loves us and has His perfect plan for our lives. We need not worry. Telling God “thank you”, is music to His ears. He seldom hears it but loves those two simple, powerful words.

Who has not been hurt by the words or actions of another? “Will you please forgive me?” Now there is a statement of a tender heart seeking forgiveness. If we live in unforgiveness, it will treat us like cancer and eat us from the inside out. We are unable to be happy living with a hardened heart of unforgiveness.Forgiveness is an intentional decision to let go of resentment and anger. When you hold onto unforgiveness you pay a heavy price for it.

Words of affirmation can keep a relationship fresh and fruitful. “I so appreciate you.” That is an affirmation. “I am blessed by having you in my life.” Again, an affirmation. Thes words confirm, uplift, support, empathize, and inspire people to keep on keepin’ on. “ I love you.” I could never have done this without you.” “I am here for you.“ ”I feel so loved when you……”

I will end with kindness. Kindness is one of the most valuable character traits a person can have. Everyone loves kindness. Seeing it, getting it and giving it are awesome feelings that rototill our hearts from weeds. Rendering assistance or expressing genuine concern for someone without expecting anything in return at all is true kindness. Kindness is free, sprinkle that stuff everywhere you go. Return a shopping cart for someone. Help an elderly person load their groceries. Pay for the people’s food behind you at McDonalds. Do something kind every day. It will fertilize your soul.
