Authorities have released more details regarding the body and submerged vehicle discovered at the Cold Springs Access in Mammoth Spring April 19.

According to Fulton County Cheif Deputy Jake Smith the body was identified as Larry Galloway, 45, of Green County.

Earlier this month, officers were notified at approximately 4:30 p.m. that a vehicle submerged in water had been discovered. Deputies went to the scene and confirmed the report.

Smith said it is believed Galloway was murdered. The suspect in the case has been named as Rodney Trammell Jr. however; the suspect died after he took his own life following a chase last night while authorities were attempting to apprehend him in Paragould.

The Mammoth Spring Fire Department brought a rescue boat and a diver was called to check the vehicle.

A body was confirmed to be inside the vehicle and it and the vehicle were removed from the water.

The body was ultimately taken to the medical examiner’s office for a positive identification and cause of death. The vehicle was taken to the Fulton County Sheriff’s office for further investigation.

At the time the body was discovered, authorities stated the case is being treated as a suspicious death.

“This is a sad situation, but the one good thing is the family has an answer and it is good to know what happened to your family member,” Smith said “I appreciate the hard work of the investigators and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Patrol Division. They did an awesome job helping us with the crime scene.”
