A Fulton County man is facing charges following an investigation by the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.
On April 22 a search warrant was executed in the 100 block of Longhorn Drive in Viola regarding the investigation.
Skylar Crisp, 25 of Viola was taken into custody after evidence was uncovered relating to possession of sexually explicit material involving a minor.
Crisp was taken to the Fulton County Detention Center awaiting the filing of formal charges. At this time, Crisp has been charged with distributing, possessing or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
Crisp formerly worked at learning center for children who released a statement regarding the issue.
“We want to inform our families and community of a serious matter involving a former staff member. Last night, an employee of Growing Kindness Learning Center was arrested on sever charges unrelated to our center,” a representative of the center said. “This morning (the morning after the arrest), law enforcement visited our center and made us aware of the charges and arrest of Skyler Crisp. We understand that this news is deeply concerning. Please know that the safety and wellbeing of your children are, and always have been our highest priority. Our staffing procedures and policies strictly enforce multiple background check and several layers of supervision. We are fully cooperating with the authorities during their investigation. We will remain vigilant and transparent with the investigation we appreciate your understanding and continued trust during this time.”
The representative offered to speak with parents if they had concerns but directed all others and other inquires to William Faucet with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
Additional charges may be added in the case.
