A bomb threat caused mass disruption at White River Medical Center in Batesville Dec. 29.

A call and threat that a bomb was in the building caused the facility to go into lock down at approximately 8 p.m.

Due to the lockdown, no one was allowed to enter the hospital unless the situation was emergent.

Bomb dogs from Central Arkansas were brought in to assist in the search and after clearing all floors of the facility the building was cleared at 10:50 p.m.

Batesville Police apprehended a suspect who has not been named but is in custody. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
