The Ash Flat Library is doing something right as it is steadily seeing record attendance on its in person Story Time and Craft days, which currently take place each Thursday at 10:20 at the Ash Flat Library, 11 Arnhart Street , Ash Flat, Ark.

On April 21, 2022 a record was set with attendance nearing 40 for the event. Since then, the sky has been the limit. On June 30, 2022, the library saw its largest attendance through that time with a count of 105 patrons. A flood of youngsters attended the reading of Ten Rules of Being a Superhero, written by Deb Pilutti, and The Three Little Superpigs once upon a time by Claire Evans. The stories are read by Ash Flat Library Manager Susan Funnell.

The adventures don’t stop after the stories are read. Children pile into another room in the library to take advantage of the opportunity to do crafts! On this date, the craft was coordinated with the stories, and kids were able to create masks to further fuel their creative sides at home.
