A Williford man was taken into custody April 1 and is being held on charges of domestic battery in the first degree, a class B felony and public intoxication. The arrest followed a 911 call after Kenneth Waters allegedly shot and wounded a female victim.
Although the initial incident occurred on Powell Hollow Road, authorities were notified when the victim sought medical treatment at a local healthcare facility for her injuries. She was treated and transported to a medical facility in Little Rock for further treatment.
Waters was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Sharp County Jail awaiting the filing of of formal charges.
