A man already being held in the Sharp County Jail on charges of rape, is now facing six additional counts of rape in Fulton County.
According to an affidavit filed June 28, the new charges against 65-year-old Terry Long, stem from a series of incidents in the spring of 2022 at the Mammoth Spring State Park.
The victim, who had been interviewed regarding a previous investigation spoke with investigators and during an interview June 12 of this year, commented about some of the incidents that had taken place in Fulton County.
One June 15, a report was made to the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division and Investigator Cham Buchannan was assigned to the case.
The victim who is less than 14-years-old, told Buchannan Long would take her into the woods to perform the acts.
As a result, Long has been charged with six counts of rape, a class Y felony.
Long was already facing the charges of four counts of rape, one count of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct of a child in Sharp County.
In total, Long’s bonds are collectively set at $3.1 million.
He is due in court July 15 to answer for his Sharp County Charges and a Jury Trial is slated for Aug. 12.
No date has been set regarding the Fulton County charges at this time.
