Fulton County:
Fulton County has released a portion of unofficial voting totals, however; due to issues with the counting of early votes, this is not a complete total. According to Clerk Vicki Bishop, early votes count for 42 percent and will be counted later today with whole numbers released.
For Justice of the Peace District 5, representative Scott Watkins received 72 votes to independent Zach Branscum’s 54.
In the City of Mammoth Spring in the race for Alderman Ward 2 Position 1, Barry O’dell received 84 votes to Dan Grant’s 52; for Mammoth Spring Recorder/Treasurer, Jim Mills received 96 votes to June Grant’s 40; in the City of Viola, Alderman Position 4, Melinda Wray received 63 votes to Jesse Johnson’s 17; in the City of Ash Flat for Ward 2 Position 2, Danny Traw received 7 votes to Ryan Pitts 4; in the City of Hardy Race for Position 1 Ward 1, Laura Smit received 4 votes to Ginni Kauffman who received 2; for Ward 1 Position 2, Amy Renee Clay-Thomas received 3 votes and Penny Allen also received 3; in Ward 2 Position 1 race, Natalie Quintana-Dubois received 4 votes to Larry Tyger’s 2; on Issue 1, votes counted thusfar, 1,585 votes for and 222 against. Issue one was passed statewide. On Issue 2, 1,023 voted for and 752 agsint. Issue 2 also passed statewide. For the school tax of 30 mills, 191 for and 216 against; for the school tax of 35 mills, 215 voted for and 201 against.
Once again, these are not complete unofficial resutls and do not represent all votes cast in Fulton County.
Izard County:
In Horseshoe Bend, there will be several changes following the election. Alderman 1 Position 1, Luther Yancey, 84 and Troy Maxim 68; Alderman 1, Position 2, Bryan Miller 80 and Loretta Purkey 72; Ward 2 Position 1, Jeanette Hilliker 146 and Ceil Shorr 110; Ward 2 Position 2, Anthony Booth 131 and Shiela Turner 124; Ward 3 Position 1, Travis Rains 144 and Uriah Mead 84; Ward 2 Position 2, David Vickers 124 and George Williamson 101; Ward 4 Position 1, Donald Dawson 252 and Carol Spencer 143; Ward 4 Position 2, Shawn Draper 232 and Raoul Johnston 156 For Horseshoe Bend Recorder Treasurer, William Vanderpas 551 and Amberly Martin 468.
For Izard County J.P. District 4, Frances Syce 266 and Willie Moser 262; J.P. District 5, John David Miller 449 and Esther Dennis 251.
In Melbourne, Alderman Ward 3 Position 1, Michael McSpadden 46 and Jerry Crosby 45; Alderman for the City of Oxford Ward 1 Position 1 Douglas Yancey 113 to Jessie Morgan 97.
For Issue 1, 4,992 and Against 757; Issue 2, 3,428 for and 2,292 against.
Sharp County:
Cave City School Board Positioon 7, J.D. Smart 1,100 to Ryan Herndon 903; Ash Flat Alderman Ward 2 Positon 2, Danny Traw 199 to Ryan Pitts 133; Evening Shade Alderman Position 6, Angela Haley 83 to Steven Burkhart 76; Hardy Alderman Ward 1 Position 1, Ginni Kauffman 168 to Laura Smith 140; Hardy Ward 1 Position 2, Amy Renee Clay-Thomas 188 to Penny Mendes Allen 130; Hardy Ward 2 Position 1, Natalie Quintana Dubois 113, Junior Wise 101 and Larry Tyger 93.
Highland Millage, 2,656 against and 1,751 for. Cave City Millage 1,198 against and 897 for; Hillcrest Millage 313 against with 206 for; Mammoth Spring Millage 67 against and 42 for.
