WINTER STORM UPDATE: we’ve adjusted our forecast to reflect trends seen through the morning hours.
(1) Impactful accumulations of mainly sleet remain likely over much of northern Arkansas through this evening (Winter Storm Warnings in effect for this area through this evening)
(2) Ice accumulation will begin ramping up over much of central Arkansas tonight with a brief lull during the day Tuesday, followed by additional ice accumulation Tuesday evening and night (Ice Storm Warning in effect through early Wednesday morning)
These maps represent the total amount of sleet and ice expected with this winter storm. Again, not all of this will occur at one time, but hazardous conditions will become more widespread with each round of precipitation.
