The next few days will be cold and rainy, making roadways in our area slippery and hazardous. We wanted to share tips for driving safely in winter weather.
– Clear ice or snow from your windshield, windows, and side mirrors before you hit the road.
– Wear your seatbelt and make sure your passengers are buckled up.
– Drive slowly and carefully. It is harder to control or stop a vehicle on ice or snow-covered roads.
– Increase your following distance so you can stop for the vehicles in front of you.
– Stay alert. Put down your phone, lower your radio volume, and minimize distractions in the vehicle so you can focus on driving.
