West Plains police locate fugitive

(Jan. 3) Just after 10 a.m. West Plains Police Department Officers located Darren L. Break in the 400 block of East 2nd Street from an original call of a suspicious person from Howell County 911.

“Break was taken into custody without incident with probable cause for Domestic Assault 1st Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Felonious Restraint, Armed Criminal Action, and Sodomy,” the department reported.

A 24 hour hold has been issued for Break at the Howell County Detention Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
