A man is facing charges in Fulton County after 911 dispatch received a call for help March 6, from a man who stated he had been attacked by another man with a crowbar.
When deputies arrived on scene at the Waste Connections Landfill on Landfill Road, they made contact with the victim who stated a man, later identified as 63-year-old Edward Stringer, had pulled up in front of him and stopped his truck.
The victim said Stringer then got out of his truck holding three-foot-long crowbar and approached the victim and his truck.
When the victim opened the door to see what Stringer needed, Stringer began to curse and then hit the victim’s truck with the crowbar and began jabbing the victim with the weapon.
The victim attempted to block the jabs from the crowbar with his arm, abrasions were noted by authorities. As a result, Stringer has been charged with battery in the second degree, purpose of causing injury, causing injury with a weapon, a class D felony and criminal mischief in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor. A warrant was issued for Stringer  on March 7, bond set at $5,000.
