Veterans Day is quickly approaching, and many patriotic events are scheduled to take place in the tri-county area.
In Sharp County, two Veterans Day events will be held, the first at the Highland High School in the old gym at 9 a.m. and a second which the public is invited and encouraged to attend at 11 a.m. at the Ash Flat Veterans Memorial in Ash Flat.
In Horseshoe Bend an event is slated for 11 a.m. at the Veteran’s Park.
The Salem VFW Post 977 will host a Veteran’s Day Program on the southside of the Salem Square at 11 a.m. followed by a chili lunch at the VFW located on Veterans Way off highway 395 north.
