Make plans to attend: Author George Jared will be at the Ash Flat Library for a speaking and book signing event on Saturday, August 7 from 10 a.m. to Noon. He is an author and investigative journalist that has written three, true-crime books, “Witches in West Memphis … and another false confession,” and “The Creek Side Bones … reality is more horrifying than fiction,” and “Whispers in the Willows.”

His latest work is a fiction book titled “A Novel Wait.” About “A Novel Wait” (released 2021) – Nova Sydney Caste is a young, ambitious journalist working for a magazine in New York City. A mysterious plague starts to infect parts of Asia and soon arrives in the United States.As the pandemic deepens, she becomes consumed with a decade-old murder case involving an eccentric scientist who exposes the origins of the disease. At one point, Nova has to decide. Report? or Hide? We are thrilled to welcome George Jared to the library and look forward to all attending.
