The Spring River Shrine Club is now taking preorders for their upcoming annual onion sale fundraiser.
According to Shriner Doug Driesel, the onions will arrive in May, however; preorders help the club and growers to better gauge the quantity of onions to order.
“Shrine will be selling onions this spring and we will be selling them on several saturdays at the Car Wash in Ash Flat, but we are taking pre-orders,” Driesel said.
The bags are 10 pounds of Vidalia onions for $12 per bag.
“All of the proceeds go to benefit the children supported by the Spring River Shrine Club. If you don’t like onions but want to support the cause, buy a bag and give it to a local food pantry and then you’re supporting two causes. Give them to your friends if you like.”
