A man who failed to comply with sex offender registry requirements is facing one count of felony failure to register after he was seen at a Halloween event for children.

According to an affidavit for warrant of arrest for 35-year-old William Thomas Maclin filed Nov. 15 in Fulton County, Maclin is a level two registered sex offender and was detained for seven days for the violation.

When a probation officer attempted to contact him, Maclin left driving an unregistered vehicle.

Probation and Parole Officer Cody Bruyette witnessed Maclin drive away in a 2006 Ford Escape which is not a vehcile Maclin listed to authorites he has access to as required by law.

It was discovered during the investigation, that Maclin also has two unregistered social media accounts.

As a result, Maclin has been charged with failure to register as a sex offender or report address change, a class C felony. Bond for Maclin was set at $10,000.
