The VFW Post 9777 and Auxiliary in Salem will host a Community Fun Day Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 105 Veterans Way Salem Ark.
Members of the VFW said the event is being held as a way to give back to the community and say thank you for the support received.
There will be an auto, cycle and tractor show off with dash plaques and trophies. There will also be games, crafts, photos, free hot dogs, snow-cones and cotton candy, as well as, food vendors selling on-site.
There will be prizes and live music. The public is invited to attend this free event and a rain date of Oct. 23 has been set.
