Highland Rebel Football is off to a strong start after winning two of three games since the start of the season, with the most recent victory during the homecoming game held Sept. 10 when the Rebels earned a victory by more than half with a final score Highland 46 to 20 over Piggott.
The Rebels also defeated Walnut Ridge Aug. 27 with the results standing Highland 30 over Walnut Ridge with 20.
The Sept. 3 match against Thayer did not sway in the favor of the Rebels after losing to Thayer and a scoreboard reading Thayer 46 to Highland 16.
This year’s Highland Senior Football team consists of 10 seniors, seven juniors and 12 sophomores.

The upcoming schedule is : an open game Sept. 17; Highland will play an away game against Gosnell Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.; on Oct. 1, Highland will face Trumann at home at 7 p.m.; on Oct. 8, an away game will take place at Blytheville at 7 p.m.; Oct. 15, the Rebels will face Rivercrest at home at 7 p.m.; Oct. 22, the Sharp County duo the Highland Rebels and the Cave City Cavemen will face off at Cave City at 7 p.m.; Oct. 29, a home game will be played against Westside at 7 p.m. and finally, on Nov. 5 the Highland will face off against Pocahontas for an away game at 7 p.m.
