The FAA Part 141 Flight School Renewal Certification was presented to Ozarka’s Flight Director John Catlett on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. To renew the certification a series of extensive inspections had to be completed. These included student records, personnel records, aviation facilities, and aviation equipment. The Ozarka Aviation program also had to prove and demonstrate proficient instruction given over the past two years with an overall student completion rate of at least 80% for Ozarka’s end of course exams, FAA written exams, and FAA practical exams. FAA Principal Operations Inspectors, Daniel Dunn and Josh Hudgens, conducted the inspection. The renewal is good for two years.
“Ozarka’s successful renewal certification is the result of two years of hard work and dedication from the administration, faculty, and staff of Ozarka College and we appreciate the continued support!” said John Catlett, Aviation Division Chair and Director. “I am very excited about the future of the aviation department and the successful growth that we are experiencing.”
